This photo shoot took place in late spring, righttttt on the edge of early summer.
The fields were full and the light was soft. The air felt warm but not heavy, which was perfect for a Spring wardrobe. And everything about it felt unforced. Even though this session happened a couple of years ago, it still finds new life online as people find it on Tiktok to this day. That tells me something. These kinds of moments do not age. We met in an open field just outside St. Louis, where wildflowers are dense and blooming everywhere you look. And the horizon feels endless, which is perfect for the cinematic feeling we were going for in this session. This is the kind of place that asks you to slow down. The couple wore simple, neutral outfits that let the setting lead. A soft white dress that moved easily with every step. Light linen layers. Nothing stiff or overly styled. Just clothes that felt like them.
From the beginning, the goal was never perfect posing.
We walked. And we stopped. Picking flowers. They held hands down the path and forgot about me for long stretches of time. (Goal accomplished). There was laughter. A little spinning. A lot of leaning into each other. At one point, he picked her up without thinking. Those are the moments I wait for as your lifestyle photographer.
