Jenna and Tyler’s wedding at Wild Carrot was the kind of day that makes you exhale and think, yes, this is what it’s all about. It was relaxed, joy-filled, and so true to who they are.
Imagine the perfect wildflower, vibrant, kaleidoscope-of-garden-colors day. That was this wedding.
From the start, the vibe was effortless. Jenna got ready at the venue with her family close by. They helped her slip into her simple, elegant gown with its open back and row of buttons. (Even the baby helped! Tell me those aren’t the sweetest photos!) She was surrounded by her bridesmaids in a cheerful mix of soft yellows, greens, and florals. They perfectly reflected the summery palette of the day. Tyler looked sharp in a black tux too! And when the two of them shared their first look in the garden, his smile said everything you need to know. These two are in LOVE-love. Even with the drizzle, they didn’t miss a beat… the rain just added to the cozy, intimate atmosphere.
The ceremony, originally planned outdoors, was moved inside at the Wild Carrot, thanks to the heatwave and summer storm (St. Louis weather always keeps us on our toes).
But honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect. With the backdrop of exposed brick, string lights, and gorgeous florals by Moody Blooms, it felt warm, personal, and full of meaning. These two somehow managed to capture the Summery vibe inside too. Shout out to the venue for just making this day feel so magical!
I loved that Jenna kicked off her shoes and went barefoot for the day, it truly set the tone. This wasn’t about appearances, it was about love and presence.
Dinner was one of the highlights. Guests gathered around long wooden tables, candles flickering, and shared plates of grass-fed, organic food (the burgers were a hit! YUM!). There’s something so special about passing food down the table to the people you love most, laughing and toasting in between bites.
The toasts later that night were heartfelt and emotional too. The kind of words that linger long after the last champagne glass is emptied.
And through it all, Jenna and Tyler stayed exactly where they wanted to be: side by side, celebrating with their people.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t the weather or the timeline that stood out, it was the way Jenna and Tyler leaned into every moment. Their wedding at Wild Carrot was the perfect reminder that when you let go of “perfect,” you make room for real, beautiful memories. As a St. Louis Wedding Photographer, this day was my dream.
